Trifonas refers to a man from Frygia who lived during the 3rd century AD. He came from a poor family and during his childhood he was studying the scripts to become a good Christian. Slowly, Trifonas managed to become a religious person who would teach the others the truth of his faith. The grace of God, according to the scripts, gave Trifonas the ability to perform miracles.
Trifonas would heal many illnesses and the tormented souls from the demons. When the emperor Gordian learned about the healing abilities of Trifonas, he asked him to heal his sick daughter. Indeed, the Emperor offered Trifonas money for his work and Trifon rejected the offer. Later, when Decius became an emperor he started persecuting the Christians. Trifonas was arrested and was condemned to death. He suffered a series of tortures and he was murdered.
